Seed Corn Production in 2022: Numbers and Situation

Seed corn crops were planted in April and May. At the EU level, the production plan is down slightly (- 7 percent); however, the seed production areas are stable in France – Europe’s first producer, and the world’s first exporter of, corn seeds. The crops are flowering throughout the production regions, being about ten days early. Overall, the crops present themselves satisfactorily at this stage.
